Two-pronged SBK and STK attack for Ducati Roma

Chmielewsli was born in Kozienice in Poland in 1989. In 2009 he took part in the European Superstock 600 Championship and after two years of inactivity he chose the Italian team for his participation in the Superstock 1000 series. Further tests for Ducati Roma will be scheduled after the winter break to allow Petricca's team to arrive in a competitive shape for the first round of the 2012 SBK season at Phillip Island in Australia at the end of February.

"Unfortunately we didn't have much time available and there were some other bikes on the track in the afternoon so I couldn't push as hard as I would have liked" said Canepa. "I made the best use of the day however to work on suspension settings and the electronics of my Ducati, continuing what we had begun at Misano. Of course we'll have to do more testing to get ready for the start of the season and I know the team is working with this aim in mind. I've got a great rapport with the team and our Ducati is improving all the time. A big thanks to all our fans and sponsors who came to Vallelunga, we'll do our best not to disappoint them".

Andrzej Chmielewski added: "It was my first time with the Ducati Roma team and my new bike. I'm very happy and honoured to form part of this team, which has already shown itself to be professional and competent. I've been out of action for two years and so for sure I'll need some more time to become competitive again. The Ducati is powerful and fantastic to ride. I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves a lot next year in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup and I'd like to thank Andrea Petricca for giving me this opportunity".
